Job Description:

The ETF Platform Manager at Allianz Life plays a pivotal role in advancing the execution of the firm’s ETF distribution strategy, specifically focused on AllianzIM’s Buffered Outcome ETFs. This role involves distribution through various financial intermediaries, including Wire houses, Regional and Independent Broker/Dealers, Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), Turnkey Asset Management Platforms (TAMPs), and private bank channels. The successful candidate should have profound capital market experience and an in-depth understanding of the ETF ecosystem. They will work to strengthen both internal and external business development and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Execution: Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with internal stakeholders, portfolio construction teams, research analysts, and platform managers. Seek platform placements, secure approvals, and explore research opportunities to ensure the inclusion of AllianzIM’s Buffered Outcome ETFs in recommendation lists and models.
  • Collaboration with Relationship Management Team and Key Stakeholders: Work closely with business leaders and the ETF sales team to develop a go-to-market strategy that maximizes product placement opportunities. Collaborate with relationship managers to execute partnership-centric business plans with the goal of increasing assets, revenue, and market share. Monitor sales plan achievement and provide timely feedback and solutions when necessary.
  • Thought Leadership and ETF Expertise: Engage proactively with clients, offering insights on capital markets, performance attribution, market forecasts, and product positioning. Leverage deep-rooted ETF expertise to present intricate technical insights, assess the competitive landscape, and provide clear portfolio construction methodologies. Participate in selective national and regional partnership conferences, due diligence meetings, and industry events.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 6-7 years of experience required. A minimum of 7 years of experience in the financial services industry with a specific focus on ETFs, mutual funds, or similar investment products, including business development and sales strategy execution.
  • Education: A four-year degree is required, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Licenses: Series 7 and 63 or 65 are required. An MBA, CFA, and/or CIMA are strongly preferred.
  • Travel: Ability to attend evening business functions. Domestic travel may be required up to 60%.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $90,000 – $100,000. In addition to the base salary, a portion of the total compensation is commission-based. The actual commission earned depends on the assigned territory and individual sales performance.
