Position: Welder
Location: 21 Selby Rd, Brampton, ON, L6W 1K5

Wage: $26.10 to 27.10 hourly (To be negotiated) / 35 to 40 hours per week

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Employment

Work Time: Day, Evening, Weekend, Morning

When to Resume if Employed: Starts as soon as possible

Closing Date: December 11, 2023

Job Overview

Eduaction: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Languages: English

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Work Site Environment: Dusty, Hot & Noisy

Job Roles:

• Interpret welding process specifications
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
• Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
• Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)
• Determine weldability of materials
• Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal

Experience & Specialization:

Welding Technique

• Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)
• Gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
• Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG)

Equipment and Machinary Experience:

• Arc welding machine
• Gas welding machine
