Job Description:
WD is currently looking to fill a position for an Electrical Project Engineer. While the company is open to remote candidates from anywhere in the United States, individuals local to Dublin, OH, have the option to work either in the office or remotely.
In this role, the Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for managing projects from the design phase through to production and construction. The job entails overseeing and executing the production of design and construction documents, as well as coordinating with the entire team to ensure that drawings and specifications align with the design intent. Additionally, the role involves applying professional knowledge to ensure designs comply with governmental regulations, building and engineering codes, and current industry standards. WD values a hands-on approach from all team members, and this position requires both leadership and involvement in the design work.
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in the field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering
- Previous work experience in Electrical Engineering with a focus on producing construction and bid documents
- Demonstrated proficiency in relevant software programs, including Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience in staff management, resource allocation, and project/account management
- Experience working on projects for a variety of clients, such as retail, restaurant, grocery, convenience store, big-box retail, office, and healthcare
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
