Position Overview:

Allianz Commercial (AzC) is seeking a Middle Market Umbrella & Excess Underwriting Specialist in Houston. The successful candidate will join the Middle Market Umbrella & Excess Southeast Region team with a focus on High Excess and Lead Umbrella. You will collaborate with underwriters, legal, risk consultants, claims, and operations staff to ensure the team meets its objectives and maintains its reputation as a world-class team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite new and renewal Middle Market Umbrella & Excess accounts, including negotiation of price, terms, and conditions with broker partners.
• Drive marketing initiatives and establish strong relationships with brokers, providing excellent customer service, technical support, and knowledge.
• Develop creative solutions for client issues by collaborating with Risk Consultants, Product Development, and Claims.
• Participate in key projects that impact business results.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Excess/Umbrella underwriting.
• Ability to build relationships internally and externally with broker partners.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to analyze complex data from multiple sources.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong thought leadership skills.
• Solution-oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Compensation:

• Annualized base pay range: $93,233 – $158,448.
• Additional annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
