The Abu Dhabi Government Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S) Program, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, is a global initiative by Masdar. It is designed to empower the next generation of sustainability leaders.
One of the notable components of this initiative is the Future Sustainability Leaders (FSL) program. It is a year-long program that connects university students and young professionals with global business leaders, policymakers, and technology pioneers. This initiative aims to help participants learn the latest best practices in sustainability.
The FSL program offers core knowledge, skills training, genuine work experience, and networking opportunities through events held over a 12-month period. Each cycle of the program commences at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), the largest sustainability gathering in the region, hosted annually in January in Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Government Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S) Program offers full sponsorship to selected applicants. It encompasses two main components:
1. Future Sustainability Leaders (FSL) Program:
This is a year-long program for university students and young professionals. It provides opportunities to connect with global sustainability leaders. Participants gain valuable insights into the latest sustainability best practices. The program offers core knowledge, skills training, authentic work experience, and networking opportunities through events spanning 12 months. Each cycle of the program kicks off at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW).
2. Sustainability Ambassadors Program:
This is a year-long program designed for high school students. It aims to nurture Sustainability Ambassadors by providing core knowledge, skills training, genuine work experience, and quality networking opportunities during the academic year.

Eligibility:
To be considered for the Abu Dhabi Government Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S) Program, you must:
- Be a secondary school student, undergraduate, or graduate, aged between 15 and 35.
- Hold or be pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited institution (for FSL Program), or be in secondary school (for Sustainability Ambassadors Program) with no specific major requirements.
- Demonstrate proficiency in spoken English.
- Submit a statement expressing interest in a sustainability-related field.
