Texas A&M University is offering scholarships for international students currently enrolled at the College Station campus. These scholarships are designed to provide financial assistance to international students who are not sponsored. The scholarships are open to both undergraduate and graduate students.
To apply for these scholarships, eligible international students need to complete the University Scholarship Application. It’s important to note that meeting the requirements for a scholarship doesn’t guarantee selection for funding, and these scholarships do not qualify students for a non-resident tuition waiver.
- Type: Undergraduate, Masters
- Application Deadline: February 1, 2024
- Value & Duration of Award: Full Scholarship
The scholarship amounts can vary, and students need to meet the specific requirements for each scholarship to compete for funds. Financial need is often a consideration for many of these scholarships. It’s important to understand that being eligible for a scholarship does not automatically mean that you will receive it.
Eligible Countries: International Students
To be considered for these scholarships, you must meet the following criteria:
- You should be either an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Full-time enrollment is typically required, which means at least 12 hours for undergraduate students and 9 hours for graduate students.
- Demonstrated financial need.
How to Apply:
To apply for these scholarships, you should use the University Scholarship Application. The application for summer and fall scholarships is open from October 15 to February 1, and for spring scholarships, it’s open from September 10 to October 12. Make sure to complete all sections of the application and, in most cases, you’ll need to complete the essay section to be considered for most scholarships.
If you are seeking need-based financial aid, such as the International Texas Public Education Grant (ITPEG) or the Mexican Citizens with Financial Need Waiver, you should complete the International Student Financial Aid Application (ISFAA). Note that many scholarship programs require a completed ISFAA application for eligibility consideration.
These scholarships offer international students an excellent opportunity to obtain financial support for their studies at Texas A&M University, helping them achieve their academic goals.
