Eligibility:
To be considered for the USTC Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals in good health and should not be currently studying in China.
- For Bachelor’s Degree Studies: Applicants must hold a high school diploma (equivalent to a high school diploma in China), have an HSK5 certificate, and be under the age of 30 by September 1, 2024.
- For Master’s Degree: Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree and be under the age of 35 by September 1, 2024.
- For Doctoral Degree: Applicants must have a Master’s Degree and be under the age of 40 by September 1, 2024.
- Graduates who are set to obtain their degrees in 2024 should submit a Pre-graduation Certificate to confirm that they will complete their study and receive their degree by July 2024.

- Online Application form for USTC Scholarship with signature and recent photo.
- Photocopy of passport.
- A study or research proposal (no less than 800 words).
- Updated CV.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
- Photocopy of Degree Certificate and Academic Transcript for both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees (if applicable).
- Proof of language proficiency.
