The scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees and provides living expenses, aiming to support students from financially vulnerable backgrounds who may not otherwise have the opportunity to study in Sweden.

Description:

The Sievert Larsson Scholarship Fund is available for students applying to Engineering master’s programs at Chalmers University. Its primary goal is to empower students from Thailand, especially those facing financial challenges. The scholarship is a significant step towards promoting education and offering deserving students a chance to pursue their academic dreams.

Fields of Study:

The scholarship is valid for students enrolling in Engineering master’s programs at Chalmers, with the exception of the Architecture programs.

Available to:

Citizens of Thailand are eligible to apply for this scholarship. To qualify, applicants must have completed or will soon complete their Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum grade of 3.0 (CGPA) from a prestigious Thai University, with a high position on international ranking lists.

Two Different Versions:

  1. Full Tuition Fee Waiver: This version covers 100% of the tuition fees during the 2-year program (4 semesters).
  2. Full Tuition Fee Waiver and Living Expenses: This version covers 100% of the tuition fees and provides 230,000 SEK for living expenses during the 2-year program (4 semesters). Applicants can apply for both versions via the scholarship application portal, indicating their order of preference.

Additional Information:

Shortlisted candidates for this scholarship will be asked to submit additional documents via email to an assigned member of the scholarship assessment team between March and April. The shortlist will not be published or announced beforehand. Required documents include a personal letter describing the candidate’s financial situation, family circumstances, and justification for being a suitable scholarship recipient, along with a written appraisal from one of their two references.

It’s essential to note that scholarships are not awarded retroactively, meaning that applicants who have already commenced their studies at Chalmers at the time of application are not eligible.
