The Rhodes Trust, based at the prestigious University of Oxford, is committed to identifying and developing outstanding individuals worldwide who are passionate about driving positive change in various fields. The Rise Program, a collaboration between Schmidt Futures and the Rhodes Trust, forms the cornerstone of this commitment. Building upon their existing partnership, this program is designed to reach a younger audience, targeting individuals aged 15 to 17.
As part of the network of Schmidt Organizations, the Rise community is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for more people, improving human health and opportunities, and safeguarding essential planetary systems for the present and the future.

Value & Duration of Award:
- One fully funded in-person residential summit with other members of the Rise Global Winner cohort. Attendance at this summit is mandatory to maintain Global Winner status.
- A four-year post-secondary education scholarship, covering tuition and a living stipend, based on need, and where not already covered by financial aid.
- An opportunity to apply for funding to experiment with innovative ideas addressing significant problems in local communities or globally. Funding ranges from seed money to start a social enterprise to grants for non-profits. These funds will be awarded competitively to Winners and Finalists.
